One out of three Americans will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Most of us know someone that has successfully battled cancer and many of us willl know someone who has had their life taken by it. For me, I have lost my Grandmother and Uncle to this disease and for the last 4.5 years I have watched my Dad fight.

This September, I will be traveling to Lake Tahoe to participate in a 3day triatholon as part of the Team Cure Challenge, raising funds for critical research and patient care at one of the nation's top comprehensive cancer centers - Roswell Park Cancer Institute. This is the hospital that my Dad has been going to for the past 4.5 years. He has Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. The fact that he has been able to put up a fight for this long is both a testament to my father's incredible strength and to the AMAZING advances made by this hospital. There is not a day that goes by that I don't thank my father's doctors and the researchers at Roswell for giving me time, precious precious time with my Dad. The money I raise will help researchers and physicians better understand the causes of cancer and discover new methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Please support me as generously as possible.I ask you to do this not for me or my Dad, but for EVERYONE who has fought cancer. The money raised here will benefit one out of every three Americans! It will give so many cancer fighters more time and with their loved ones. So, dont do it for me, do it for them -- it might just be someone you love!

7/20/2008I saw the obituary and went to the link only out of interest. I am a cancer survivor (seven years) I remeber seeing your dad getting treatment. He always looked so determined and stong. He had a grat outlook. I didn't know your dad well, but he had a strong spirit! Sorry for your loss. ChrisChris
