Riding Together To Cure Cancer

Team of RidersThe Ride For Roswell is an annual celebration of community support for Roswell Park Cancer Institute and its core mission to understand, prevent and cure cancer. The Ride is a year-round fundraising program for the Institute that culminates in a celebratory cycling event every June. It is a safe and healthy day of cycling fun for riders, teams, cancer survivors, and supporters.

The Ride For Roswell offers a distance for any type of rider. Participants can choose to ride from nine different routes this year! Either choose a traditional route that starts from Baird Point -- the 100-mile, 62.5-mile, 44-mile, 33-mile, 30-mile, 20-mile, 8-mile or 3-mile routes -- or join the Extra Mile Club Peloton: only 12-miles from Roswell Park to UB. If you can't ride that day or want to simply fundraise and join us at the picnic, become a virtual rider.

Tribute to William McLaughlin: We regret to share that one of our own, top-10 2009 Ride fundraisers, Bill McLaughlin, lost his 14-year battle with prostate cancer on December 24th.  Bill was an extremely dedicated patient advocate and fundraiser for Roswell Park and earned the Katherine Anne Gioia Inspiration Award in 2009 along with raising more than $16,000 in The Ride 2009. Please join us in extending all our thoughts and prayers to his family at this difficult time. Read more... or view the 2009 Katherine Anne Gioia Award Video
