- As a reminder, if you chose a gift card or Ride merchandise incentive prize, those prizes were based on donations collected by June 27th. These gifts will be awarded in September and must be collected no later than November 1st. No additional refunds will be given after this date.
(Restrictions do apply. The Ride For Roswell reserves the right to substitute the prize for equal or less value. Note all prizes are not redeemable for cash.)

Thanks to more than 8,500 riders, volunteers and supporters who came out to UB's Baird Point on Saturday, June 27, The Ride For Roswell 2009 raised $2.2 million in support of cancer research and patient care at Roswell Park Cancer Institute! Special thanks to over 110 virtual riders, 400 Extra Mile Club members and the combined efforts of over 540 teams that all contributed to The Ride 2009 total. Below are winners announced on Ride day based on donations raised by the Pledge Party on June 18th. Look for the official winners after all donations have been entered in August. Mark your calendars for the 15th annual event. The Ride For Roswell will be held next year on June 26, 2010! Watch for details in the fall announcing the open date for Ride registration 2010.
Riding Together To Cure Cancer  The Ride For Roswell is an annual celebration of community support for Roswell Park Cancer Institute and its core mission to understand, prevent and cure cancer. The Ride is a year-round fundraising program for the Institute that culminates in a celebratory cycling event every June. It is a safe and healthy day of cycling fun for riders, teams, cancer survivors, and supporters.
The Ride For Roswell offers a distance for any type of rider. Participants can choose to ride from eight different routes this year! Either choose a traditional route that starts from Baird Point -- the 62.5-mile, 44-mile, 33-mile, 30-mile, 20-mile, 8-mile or 3-mile routes -- or join the Extra Mile Club Peloton: only 12-miles from Roswell Park to UB. If you can't ride that day or want to simply fundraise and join us at the picnic, become a virtual rider.

We regret to share that one of our own, top-10 2008 Ride fundraiser, Mike Doran, tragically lost his life on April 28 in a plane crash outside Cleveland. Mike had dedicated the money he raised (over $8,000) to the Stacey Scott Lung Cancer Registry at RPCI and was helping with our screening program outreach. Please join us in extending all our thoughts and prayers to his family at this difficult time. Read more...
