Joseph Sahlen, a long-time supporter and good friend of Roswell Park Cancer Institute, has generously donated a 1963 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport—a dream for any car lover. This car will be raffled off on December 23, 2009, with all proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets supporting research and patient care at Roswell Park.
Originating as a sports coupe, the Impala was created as a dream car for the 1956 General Motors Motorama. The name Impala originated from a southern African antelope known for its speed and prowess. Continuing for a decade as the best-selling automobile in the U.S., the Impala broke the record for sales with over 13 million units sold. This 1963 classic has logged just 7,403 miles.
Only 2,500 tickets will be sold. Raffle tickets are $10 or 3 for $25. Winner need not be present for December 23, 2009, drawing.
