Griffin, Age 8  Ever since Griffin was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia when he was just 3 years old, he has helped his family keep smiling in the face of adversity.
"Throughout his chemotherapy treatment, Griffin always had a smile on his face no matter how he was feeling," said his mom, Ellen. Griffin and his family have plenty to smile about these days—he's been cancer-free since June 2007.
In the years since he finished treatment, Griffin still makes sure to share that happiness with other patients at Roswell Park by attending Carly's Club programs and activities. Additionally, he and his family donated toy trains and a train table for other kids to enjoy while they receive treatment.
