Carmel's 30 Mile Ride For A Cure!!
Welcome to my "Ride For Roswell" page!! It means the world to me that you would take the time to visit my fundraising page and I hope that you consider supporting me this year as I ride for Roswell Park! I ride for my brother, Robert Searight, Joe Searight, Esther Washington, Willie Jones, Phyllis Slaughter, Mattie Dickerson - mother of Alfreda Foster my dear friend Luther Collin's sister, Lois Brock, and for so many others who we have lost, and so many others who have fought and survived! We don't realize that in life, Cancer will touch each and every one of us either personally or through someone we know. Though we may not be able to stop it from happening, I want to do my part in the hopes that we can find a way to stop it from PROGRESSING!
Did you know that 1 out of 2 MEN and 1 in 3 WOMEN in America will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime... I don't want to sit by and wait for something to happen, I want to be a part of those who fight and push hard to find a cure!!
This June, I will be cycling 30 miles in The Ride For Roswell, an outdoor cycling event, rain or shine to raise funds for critical research and patient care programs at one of the nation's top comprehensive cancer centers - Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
The Ride For Roswell is an annual celebration of community support for Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and a safe and healthy day of cycling fun for riders, teams, cancer survivors, and supporters. The money I raise will help researchers and physicians better understand the causes of cancer and discover new methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
