 Why We Volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to feel the excitement of the event. Every year, The Ride For Roswell counts on nearly 2,000 dedicated volunteers who work together to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all.
Our volunteers are equally as important as our riders. Every position is vital to the success of our event Without our volunteers, this event would not be possible. The Ride For Roswell Volunteers comprise a very diverse group of dedicated people.
The Ride is a family-focused event. We wish to include people of all ages, however we discourage volunteers who have small children from bringing them to the event. Small children can be a safety risk to themselves and to others. They may also prevent a volunteer from completing his or her job assignment.
Join a Ride Planning Committee
The 2012 Ride will include a brand new component—an opening ceremony—the evening before The Ride. The Opening Ceremony will be open to survivors and riders. It’s our way of creating a united front to beat cancer. We welcome you to join one of our committees that meet on a monthly basis. We would appreciate your energy and ideas to help plan the festivities of both days and beyond!
