EMC AdviceHere are some great tips on ways to grow and engage your donors!

Recruiting Individuals to donate to your Ride

Create a list of everyone and anyone you think would be interested in donating to you.  Share your story with them and encourage them to join you in your mission to help Roswell Park understand, prevent and cure cancer.

Potential donors could be any of the following and more:

  • Your family
  • Your friends
  • Your neighbors
  • Your co-workers
  • Your classmates
  • People from your place of worship
  • people from your favorite clubs

Reach out to everyone on your list either by phone, in person or email.  A great way to remind everyone is to carry  business cards, or Ride brochures that you can pass out to people as you share your story.  This physical piece will remind them after your conversation is over.

Use your Personal Webpage

Your personal webpage is a valuable tool to take advantage of as an EMC member.

  • Share the story and why The Ride For Roswell is important to you
  • Upload pictures to help further illustrate your story
  • Share important messages, tips and motivate others to donate.

Attend a Training Ride

A great way to meet fellow riders is by participating in one of our many general Training Rides offered on  Starting in April and continuing to the Saturday before the Ride,  the Ride will host 2 – 3  training rides a week.  RSVP on RideConnect and join a team of experience riders each week for a training.

You will have a variety of destinations, distances and ability levels to choose from, all on scenic routes throughout the city and surrounding areas.  Check out to see the training rides available and sign-up!

Receive support from a Ride Ambassador

Who are The Ride Ambassadors?

The Ride Ambassadors are dedicated volunteers with proven fundraising knowledge and success, who will support and encourage participants with their personal fundraising projects and goals. Each Ride Ambassador will have participated for at least one year as an Extra Mile Club member and will attend a training session prior to beginning his or her duties.

Interested in becoming a Ride Ambassador?

The Ride Ambassadors will communicate regularly with riders in their assigned group, to help recruit and inspire interested riders to become and continue to be an Extra Mile Club member. These Ambassadors will represent The Ride at local events within their communities and will be available at all pre-ride events to greet and congratulate all our Extra Mile Club members. Contact The Ride to become a Ride Ambassador today!

Host a Fundraiser

A great way to develop bonds among your friends is to have a fundraiser that will raise money for your Ride.
